We currently have two 10 foot Perception Fishing Kayaks. After doing our research, we bought them straight off amazon and so here is a link for you if you want one too! These kayaks have been super stable and very durable. We love that we can lock them up, travel with our wheels and the seats are comfortable too. There are also lots of upgrades that can be added…. all we have on ours is the fishing rod holders.

Before we got the kayaks and the rack that can hold the kayaks and our two bikes, we had some neat portable water toys. Keith got an ORU Kayak. {This is my first amazon link. I (Pamela) got a Hobie Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board. Like the Oru, it also was very compact and easy to stow when we did not have a lot of storage space or a rack to kayaks and other big toys on. There are newer versions out there now and if I was going to get a new one, I would get this one that I saw in outdoor magazine recently… the Tahoe SUP Tahoma 11″. The article I linked has pictures and info on it.

So, as you can see we have fun no matter what our storage capacity is. We knew what we wanted to do and we found a way to make it happen. In truth, most of the places that we go you can rent canoes or kayaks. So if you are just doing weekend outdoor adventures this will probably be the best way to enjoy the water.
